Biofit GG-Series Ergonomic Static Control Chair

The Biofit GG-Series Ergonomic Static Control Chair is designed with a robust polypropylene seating that can withstand challenging environments. Each seat and backrest features antimicrobial properties and a UV inhibitor as standard to ensure durability and hygiene. This chair is engineered for ergonomic comfort during long work days and is built to last over long-term use.

To enhance static control, each component of the chair is meticulously grounded to the base, ensuring a consistent pathway to ground even in the presence of insulating dirt. Unique to Biofit, the chair includes a drag chain and the option of conductive glides or casters to provide alternative grounding paths if dirt accumulates. A standout feature is the spring-loaded contact ball bearing assembly within the pneumatic seat-height adjustment mechanism. This ball bearing contacts the inner cylinder of the mechanism, maintaining electrical continuity from the top of the chair down to the base.

The ArmorSeat™ design underscores its resilience and versatility, suitable for nearly any setting and maintaining the high durability standards BioFit is known for. The backrest is 16 inches wide by 10.75 inches high, and the seat measures 17.5 inches wide by 15.5 inches deep and 1.5 inches thick, both featuring a waterfall front for comfort. Standard controls include Task Control with soft-touch pneumatic seat-height adjustment, a fixed rearward seat tilt of 6 degrees, and adjustable backrest tilt and height. Mobility is supported by dual-wheel, non-marring polyurethane casters that enhance safety by preventing unintended movement on hard surfaces. Alternatively, 2-inch high polyamide glides are available. The metal components are chrome plated, and the chair supports up to a 350-pound capacity.

Here's how to calculate your seat height to perform at your best.
BioFit manufactures models in a wide selection of seat-height adjustment ranges. This choice of adjustability options helps ensure our chairs and stools fit the size and body type of individual workers and unique applications, delivering in-demand flexibility to accommodate users on different shifts or the same worker performing other tasks at different work levels.

The basic formula to calculate the ideal seat height directly corresponds to the actual work level ‒ that is, the distance from the floor to the work surface height ‒ minus 12 inches. Therefore, BioFit recommends using this figure as the mid-point of the seat-height-adjustment range of the chair purchased.

For example, a 40-inch work level ‒ the height measured from the floor to the top of the work surface ‒ minus 12 inches = 28 inches ‒ is the mid-point of the chair or stool seat height adjustment range.

This formula applies to most workers. BioFit ergonomic seating will fit 90% of workers without customization, while alterations can be made easily for the other 10%.
